Commercial property
To find working space in London, talk to people
who work there.
Running a business involves a lot more than selling
services or products. Creating them takes organisation, equipment,
accounting,
staff and, of course, premises.
Rent rises, poor sites, disputes and slack leases break companies.
Conscious of this, Howard Peterman’s team of consultant surveyors,
architects, valuers and agents study the exact needs of a business
before agreements are drafted. From lettings, sales and acquisitions
to surveys, valuation and management, we assure personal consideration,
utter impartiality and over 20 years’ experience in a highly
competitive market.
We are, after all, a London business ourselves. We’ve been
there.
Below are the principal areas we cover:
Development
Since overseeing one of
Clerkenwell’s first “loft” conversions
in 1995, we’ve specialised in finding new uses for problematic
and redundant buildings - from 50,000 square feet of offices in
Camden to 8,000 square feet of retail and 22 flats in a disused
Shoreditch glassworks.
Office Space
Petermans acquire and dispose of premises for
landlords, developers and occupiers in London and the UK. Some recent
transactions
include 5 large buildings in Bloomsbury for Florida State University,
a Mayfair freehold for an international medical group and over 200,000
square feet in Camden.
Retail Space
We’ve acquired
shop, leisure, restaurant and medical units in London and beyond,
including 4 units for a leading
London dental group. Working with landlords and clients, we specialise
in “difficult” properties often needing conversion and
change of use.
Industrial Property
Our services include letting, acquisition
and specialist pre-letting for developers and owner-occupiers, with
transactions ranging from 12,000 to 100,000 square feet in London
and the Southeast.
Investments
Since the recent changes in personal pension law,
property has become an attractive alternative to more traditional
investments. Petermans act directly for individuals, property companies
and pension funds, and have also acquired buildings for businesses
on a leaseback basis. We’ve also invested in London property
ourselves: with our active management, it will provide both yield
and capital growth.
